How Unlokid works
Unlokid turns screen time into a reward for learning. Instead of banning or rationing, we ask your child to pass a quiz to open a blocked app.
The idea
Rather than hard-limiting, every blocked-app launch is tied to a small educational challenge. Your child earns minutes of screen time by answering questions adapted to their age and school curriculum.
Two quiz modes
Required quiz: triggered when your child opens an app from the blocklist. Passing the quiz unlocks the app for a few minutes (the duration is set in the child profile).
Voluntary quiz: your child can take a quiz at any time from Unlokid's home screen to stockpile minutes. See the "Voluntary practice" section below.
What Unlokid does not do
Unlokid never reads the content of conversations, never tracks location, and never shares anything with third parties. The only data we keep are quiz sessions and the list of apps installed on your child's device.
- You can always grant bonus time manually from a child's profile — useful for a birthday, a long car ride, etc.
