Pair a device

To activate Unlokid on your child's device, generate a code and enter it in the app installed on that device.

Pairing steps

  • In your dashboard, go to "Devices" and click "Pair a device". A 6-digit code appears (valid for 10 minutes).
  • On your child's device, download Unlokid from the Play Store and open it.
  • Enter the 6-digit code on the pairing screen.
  • The device appears in your "Devices" list and you can choose which children may use it.

Required permissions

On first launch on the child's device, the app asks for several Android permissions (accessibility, device admin, overlay). Without them, app blocking doesn't work — follow the guided screens one by one.

  • On Samsung or Xiaomi, add Unlokid to the "No battery optimization" list so Android doesn't kill the background service.
