Quiet hours
Define time windows (night, school, homework) when blocked apps stay locked, even if your child has minutes in the bank.
Why
Some periods — bedtime, class, homework — deserve to be protected from entertainment, no matter how much your child has "earned". Quiet hours are an absolute protection, not a negotiable quota.
How it works
You define one or more time windows (e.g. 9pm–7am, Mon–Fri). During those windows, opening a blocked app shows "Try again later" instead of the quiz — even if your child has 30 minutes banked.
Apps not on the blocklist (phone, messages, school apps) stay accessible. Quiet hours only apply to the blocklist.
Presets
- School nights: 9pm–7am, Mon–Fri.
- Every night: 9pm–7am every day.
- Custom: create your own windows.
- For teens, slightly later hours (10pm–6am) are often better respected than overly strict ones.
- You can create multiple windows to block during school (8am–3pm, Mon–Fri) in addition to night.
